House Rules

Wildwood is a small cabin property in the forest. The rules are simple: take care of the place, respect the people around you, and follow current fire restrictions.

Guests and occupancy

Each cabin is intended for two guests.

Additional guests may be possible upon request.

Cabin 3 can accommodate up to six guests.

Any additional guests should be confirmed with Wildwood before arrival.

Around the property

Guests are welcome to use the shared areas throughout the property, including:

  • trails

  • viewpoint areas

  • outdoor seating

  • firepit areas

  • BBQ areas

  • the wood-fired sauna

  • yoga spaces

Please be respectful of other guests and the property while using shared spaces.

Wildwood is a forested property, so expect uneven ground, roots, rocks, wet surfaces, and changing outdoor conditions.

Firewood and woodstoves

Some cabins include a wood-burning stove.

Please use the stove only as intended and follow any instructions provided in the cabin.

Never leave a fire unattended.

Fire bans

Fire restrictions on Bowen Island may affect indoor and outdoor wood burning.

Wildwood follows the fire restrictions posted by Bowen Island Municipality and the Province of British Columbia.

When restrictions are in place, please follow the current rules before using a woodstove or outdoor firepit.

The BBQ and wood-fired sauna remain available unless guests are told otherwise.

Wood-fired sauna

The sauna is available to Wildwood guests throughout their stay.

Please follow the instructions provided on site and leave the space ready for the next guests.

BBQ

BBQ access is available on the property.

Please use BBQ equipment only in the designated areas and make sure everything is fully turned off when you are finished.

Pets

Dogs are welcome with prior approval.

The pet fee is $75 per dog, per stay.

Please include your dog when arranging the booking so the stay can be confirmed accordingly.

Parking

Parking is available on site.

Noise and other guests

There are no formal quiet hours.

Wildwood is a shared property, so please be mindful of other guests and neighbouring properties.

If an issue comes up during your stay, contact Wildwood directly.

Events and gatherings

Weddings, retreats, photoshoots, commercial shoots, larger gatherings, and other special uses of the property must be arranged with Wildwood in advance.

A standard cabin booking does not automatically include permission to host an event or organized gathering.

Local wildlife

Deer are common on Bowen Island.

Please do not feed wildlife and treat the property as a natural outdoor environment.
